I’m a beauty brand builder with 14 years experience in the beauty and media industries.
I started my career as a journalist, working as a reporter and editor at several of Australia’s largest media companies (Fairfax Media, News Corp and Are Media), but I always wanted to work in beauty.
I knew I had a unique perspective and deep, complex understanding of consumers that could help bridge the gap for brands and retailers who kept missing the mark in delivering what customers actually wanted.
Now I’ve worked both in-house and agency side representing the world’s biggest beauty brands, including Bubble Skincare, MCoBeauty and ModelCo, Charlotte Tilbury, Rare Beauty, ghd, Paula’s Choice Skincare and Ole Henriksen, helping to build these brands into some of the biggest players in the AU market.
My ethos is rooted in the belief that strong brand relevancy and desirability drives conversion.
Beauty is different to any other FMCG category. Long-term brand growth cannot be built solely through performance marketing. Brand trust, brand authority - and most importantly, brand hype - is what builds permanent success.
